Grand Sicle is always a blend of three complementary declared-vintage years, each of which accentuates one of the hallmarks of the Laurent-Perrier house style of freshness, finesse, and structure. By blending these three vintages together, Grand Sicle creates the perfect year one better than nature could ever provide.
Iteration No. 1 of Grand Sicle was released in 1959. In 2019, Laurent-Perrier released its newest iteration - No. 24 - and for the first time in its history, the iteration of Grand Sicle will be noted on the bottle, indicating the vintage assemblage within. Grand Sicle is crafted from grapes harvested from 11 of the 17 grand cru villages. Comprised of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, Iteration No. 24 is a blend of the 2007, 2006 and 2004 vintages. It received a 97pt rating from James Suckling.
