The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 18 Years Old is aged in a unique combination of exceptional oak casks: Sherry-seasoned European oak casks, Sherry-seasoned American oak casks, and ex-bourbon American oak casks. The unique attributes of each cask and The Macallan’s unwavering commitment to natural color present a complex challenge of ensuring consistent quality, character and color year after year. To achieve this, thousands of individual casks are sampled to select those that will finally be married together prior to bottling. Among connoisseurs, The Macallan Triple Cask Matured 18 Years Old is a very well appreciated expression in the core range. The liquid is exquisite - rich in flavor yet delightfully smooth and delicate.
Triple Cask Matured 18 Years Old was previously known as Fine Oak 18 Years Old and offers the same extraordinarily smooth, delicate yet complex character with a new name, new bottle and bold new packaging. Reflecting the quality of our whiskies and unveiling the skills and craft of the Macallan Masters, this new identity was rolled out in 2018.
